Lodos autonomous unmanned surface vehicle underway with Turkish flag
Proven Concept

LODOS

From concept to water: a one-person CAD file became an autonomous surface vehicle that actually floats and passed field testing.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Lodos is an autonomous unmanned surface vehicle (USV) prototype designed and developed entirely on a personal basis by founder Göksu Cebeci, before Lemniscate Defense was established — purely to test his own engineering capabilities. The claim the company stands behind today — "end-to-end engineering from CAD to physical production, from embedded software to on-water field testing" — was proven here, by a single person, concretely, before the company even existed. Below you can see the entire process, chronologically, from design to water launch.

1. DESIGN (CAD)

The hull geometry and electronics enclosure were designed end-to-end in parametric 3D modeling software.

2. PRODUCTION & INTEGRATION

Hull parts were 3D-printed, painted and assembled; electronics hardware (drivers, telemetry, sensors) was integrated end-to-end inside the enclosure.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Hull & Deck Structure3D-printed in PETG; hull built from 12 blocks, deck (runway) from 14 blocks, then assembled
Assembly / BondingWaterproof epoxy adhesive used to bond the blocks together
Surface Finish3–4 coats of primer, followed by 5 coats of acrylic spray paint and 3 coats of acrylic varnish

3. FLOATATION & FIELD TESTING

From the design desk to the sea: the completed prototype was launched on open water and tested under field conditions.

WHAT'S NEXT

The engineering approach proven with Lodos now forms the foundation of Lemniscate Defense's TARIK-AİDA platform.
